By creating an account or using TheTrafficApp (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
TheTrafficApp helps you look up and monitor publicly available traffic and parking violation records associated with a license plate, and directs you to the official government systems where those violations can be paid. The Service is informational.
TheTrafficApp is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any government agency, court, or enforcement authority. The official government system for each jurisdiction is the authoritative source for violation details, amounts, deadlines, and payments.
Violation data is retrieved from third-party government systems that can change, be delayed, or be temporarily unavailable. We do not guarantee that lookups are complete, current, or error-free, and a "no violations found" result does not guarantee that none exist. You are responsible for verifying your obligations directly with the relevant agency and for paying any amounts you owe on time. We are not responsible for late fees, penalties, or other consequences.
You must provide accurate information, keep your password secure, and are responsible for activity under your account. You may only look up plates you own or are otherwise authorized to check. You agree not to use the Service for harassment, stalking, or any unlawful purpose.
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to disrupt it, access it by automated means beyond your own account's normal use, or resell access without permission.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. TheTrafficApp will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
